Kinetic chain release was first conceived by Scottish Physiotherapist, Hugh Gilbert in the 1980’s, since then it has been developed to become a treatment delivered internationally. Hugh Gilbert developed the KCR Protocol which comprises a unique sequence of 12 mobilisation and stretches taken from mainstream physical therapy.
Kinetic chain release is a form of message therapy involving gentle joint stretches and movements. The goal is to relieve pain and discomfort cause by variety of conditions by focusing on improving physical balance.
